Trendy Design

Something I notice a lot about trendy design is the way the 'voice' is handled, lots of hand done-ness and crafty design around today to be ironic, or welcoming, or personable in other ways. I think that this is pretty appropriate, a lot of this has to do with a certain cultural-appeal to the audience of particular design and having design now spanning into realms where good design was previously sometimes neglected, but I definitely notice a lot of craftiness.
